We are thrilled to launch new features on wikirate.org that empower our community to explore Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and benchmark data in a dynamic and insightful way.

These enhancements are designed with our growing community in mind, providing powerful tools for civil society organizations (CSOs), investors, researchers, and changemakers to access and explore the data that matters most. Therefore, we have participated in a number of conversations and have listened to our community to deliver these improvements.

Navigate Benchmarks with Ease

Our new exploration features allow you to seamlessly navigate from top-level scores down to the underlying data using intuitive dropdown menus. This makes it possible to delve into the details behind each score, including the weightings and formulas that contribute to the final results. By making these layers of information more transparent, Wikirate aims to provide you with deeper insights into the ESG performance of companies and their impact.

Enhanced Filtering and Customization

One of the most exciting changes is the ability to filter by multiple metrics and companies simultaneously, enabling more comprehensive comparisons. This new capability allows you to customize your view, choosing to display data by metric, company, or a combination of both. You can also decide which information, such as identifiers like ISINs (International Securities Identification Numbers), is included on the dashboard.

Streamlined Access and Export of Data

These updates address a critical goal: making ESG data more accessible and easier to mass export. With improved filtering and export options, it is easy to compare company impacts and combine metrics from multiple datasets. This feature simplifies the process of gaining a holistic view of a company’s performance and ESG impact, making it easier to draw meaningful conclusions from the data.

Real-World Applications

We gathered through our conversations with civil society advocates and investors that they are interested in understanding the environmental and social impacts of multiple companies within a particular industry. With the new Wikirate features, you can quickly filter relevant metrics, compare companies side-by-side, and download the data for further analysis. Similarly, researchers can merge datasets from various civil society organizations to paint a comprehensive picture of industry trends and performance.

We spoke to Anita Dorret, Director at the Investor Alliance for Human Rights, who shared her thoughts on the launch of the new features that make Wikirate more accessible for investors:

“Wikirate’s open platform leverages data from its extensive network of civil society connections, helping to bridge the data gap on companies’ social performance. This enables investors to access a wealth of valuable CSO data, empowering them to make informed decisions throughout the entire investment lifecycle.”

A Milestone for Wikirate

This is an exciting step in our ongoing journey to provide the best tools and resources for understanding corporate sustainability and impact.

We invite you to explore these new features on wikirate.org and discover how they can enhance your analysis and decision-making. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to refine and expand our platform to meet your needs.

Thank you for being a part of the Wikirate community. Together, we are driving transparency and accountability in ESG reporting and creating a more informed future.

Our community is important to us, and so are your ideas! If there are any features you would like to suggest for wikirate.org, you can send them to us here.
